1. Equipment introduction

The role of quartz sand filtration: A quartz sand filter is a pressure filter filled with refined quartz sand. As water flows from top to bottom through the filter layer, suspended matter and colloidal particles are removed, reducing turbidity. It is primarily used for water treatment, such as turbidity removal, water softening, and pre-treatment for electrodialysis and reverse osmosis. It can also be used for surface water and groundwater. It effectively removes suspended matter, organic matter, colloids, and sediment. It is widely used in electronics and power generation, petrochemicals, metallurgy, electroplating, papermaking and textiles, pharmaceutical dialysis, food and beverages, drinking water, industrial water, and swimming pools.
It can meet the liquid filtration needs of various industries. Quartz sand filtration is one of the most effective means of removing suspended solids from water and is a key element in advanced wastewater treatment, wastewater reuse, and water supply treatment. Its function is to further remove flocculated pollutants from the water. It achieves water purification through the interception, sedimentation, and adsorption of the filter media.

3.Scope of application

(1) Used in industrial water, domestic water and municipal water supply systems that require the effluent turbidity to be ≤5mg/L and meet drinking water quality standards;
(2) Removal of suspended solids and solids from industrial wastewater;

(3) Can be used as pretreatment equipment in ion exchange softening and desalination systems, coarse filtration equipment for industrial water supply with low water quality requirements; and used in swimming pool circulation treatment systems, cooling circulating water purification systems, etc.
