PP cotton

PP cotton, also known as doll cotton, hollow cotton, or stuffing, is a man-made chemical fiber made from polypropylene. It boasts high loft, good elasticity, easy cleaning, and resistance to compression. It is primarily used in toy fillings, clothing, bedding, and water purification equipment filters.
Based on the manufacturing process, PP cotton can be divided into two types: two-dimensional and three-dimensional. Three-dimensional PP cotton utilizes a hollow fiber structure, made from higher-quality raw materials than two-dimensional cotton, resulting in better resilience, but at a relatively higher price. Related products include household fillings such as plush toys, pillows, and bolsters, as well as water purifier filters. Filters are primarily used to trap impurities larger than 5 microns in water and require regular replacement based on water quality. When purchasing, be aware that inferior products can easily deform and clump; it's recommended to choose reputable brands with good elasticity. Since polypropylene is a non-toxic material, PP cotton poses no direct health risks.
